I own three leather Jackets.

One for when I was trim and slim.

One for when I hit my 40's and was married for 20 years........

and the newest one was for five years after I retired from the Ironworkers
and stopped exercising and let the weight pile on.

I don't think I will ever wear a 32" pair of Wranglers, again.

I still wear my North Face winter coat that I bought on sale in the spring of 2004 at Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo.

I have an insulated LL Bean chore coat and a Carharrt coat. I wore out my USMC field jacket and a number of jean jackets.

My favorite light jacket is a military camo shirt with lower pockets. Great for carrying staples and screws while out fixing fences, etc.

Just looked. My Old Buddy Milt gifted me a jacket on his Death Bed.
He had already gifted my Son a Rem Model 34. That’s the one with the Round Lifter, raising the round into alignment with the bore.
Yes, the Jacket is a Members! I’ve never actually worn it.
And just the other day - I did see a senior duffer wearing Bermudas and Tall Socks!

I grew up not wearing socks for the most part. Here in Fla. that is what we did. I can still pick out the guys that grew up in Fla. as they are not wearing socks.

I wore compression socks after I had heart surgery. As soon as the Doctor said I did not need them, off they came.

They're often recommended for long airplane flights as an aid in preventing deep vein thrombosis. I wear them at times on planes. Also wore them for a while after knee surgeries. I find them uncomfortable though, and don't like wearing them.

Ruthie wears knee high compression socks at work. She walks 10-12 miles per shift.

She says they make a big difference.

I use her old ones as puppets.

I was diagnosed with edema in my legs with substantial freckling. My cardiologist recommended the compression socks and what a difference they made. The edema and "Veinous Insufficiency" diminished and the freckling caused by the blood not being returned practically disappeared.

I also noticed that when wearing the compression socks my feet stayed warmer. I wish I would have known that when I was hunting. I could never keep my feet warm when sitting still for any great length of time. The compression socks must be allowing more fresh blood to get into my feet.

I wear them on long flights or drives. Don’t like em’ either but they help keeping clots at bay.
