NEVER thought I would buy a 9mm

I've got the same gun. What's not to like about it? Good capacity. Good cartridge. Good size. That green dot just jumps out at me. With my 70 year old eyes, I need all the help I can get these days.

You look like your still running the stock white dot sights !! You might want to up grade them too so if or when your laser dies you wahve a better back up sight option . Now I'm only 66 but wear trifocals and can see green far better and other colors .Green fiber optic or green ring night sights even and a good controable tac light so you can sorta see! what your shooting . Ha

A Good 9mm HP is only effective when compared to a 380 or less .

When compared to a 38super or 357sig and larger its nothing more than a choice for those that can't handle the other higher energy cartridges as well .

"Tis better to put a hole in your attacker with a .22 than to miss with a .45 (or a 38 Super or a 357 Sig)."

I never was a yuge 9mm fan until about 10 years ago. I have 3 compacts now and load for the cartridge. They make excellent concealed carry pistols. Other then that I don't mess with it much. Revolvers and 1911's are much preferred for range fun time.

It well not exceed energy or expansion or distance traveled in tissue . Its just a cartridge that when bullets are placed well can get the job done and a cartridge choice easy to shoot as handgun size gets smaller and lighter just like the shooters . Ha

The Lucky Gunner Ballistic Tests indicates otherwise.

I carry HST in 45acp and 9mm.

I'm a 45acp and 44 guy. That being said I think bullet placement counts most.

I will agree a 357 magnum with a 125 yr JHP is a gold standard.

The only thing missing from this post is corn.

Yup, normally a 1911 or J-frame guy - always considered 9 minimum as a substandard round but ammo tech has come a long way...

There's a M&P for some days and then there's a barbeque gun...

I didn't either until I had picked up several thousand free cases, at least two five gallon buckets worth! Now I have at least a dozen or so that are infrequently shot because I hate picking up my own fired brass, but hate losing brass even worse.:D Guess I should just leave them lay and not worry about it.

Not a single plastic fantastic in the lot!!!

These days 9mm & 5.56mm/.223 ammo seem to be more available at lower prices than many of the other cartridges.

I picked up a Glock 26 less than a year ago. NEVER thought I'd own a black, plastic gun with a double-jointed trigger. So much power in such a small package. I shoot cast through mine, loaded on a single-stage press. I've shot it more than any other gun since I got it. With the right load it has been 100% reliable and very accurate.
