"you will need to re-use your factory polymer latch or any custom latch"
Well my Belt-fed Tactical charging latch is not fitting in this charging handle. Not without the latch or this handle being modified
Works perfect in the stock CH, but in this one, it needs either more milling or my charging latch needs to be filed down as the nub pivot point that sticks off where the pin drops in cannot line up.
Also, this CH does not ride free in the channel, it is pretty snug. The stock CH, set it in the channel and flick it and it will slide in and out on it's own. Heck, turn the rifle barrel up and it will drop out. This one, so snug, cannot move on it's own unless there is pressure behind it (and not, the channels for the handle are not dirty)
UPDATE: So, I spent about 30 minutes and used some jewlers files and filed, fit, filed, fit, filed and fit until I had taken off just enough material from the hump pivot point behind the pin hole on my charging latch as there was clearly excess not needed material that would not compromise the latch if removed. This was/is not an issue on the OEM CH, but on this CH, tolerances are much tighter so that excess in the hump pivot point made it impossible for the hole to line up and drop the pin in. But I got it to work. Not really the latches problem as it was sold to fit into the OEM CH and it did just fine, not so much the CH as it seems that the stock latch and the few other tactical latches fit, it seems just the combo of THIS latch and THIS charging handle. So, if you have a Belt_fed, prepare to have to file it down.
