Mine came with the M&P 100 DOT then I purchased the standard Magpul flip-up sights front and rear...wondering if I can buy an adapter to make these three co-witness?

..from what I've seen I'd guess 3/4 is the way to go.

O.K. after a few searches here I ordered the Leepers 0.83 riser..another question is the rear sight used in co-witness?

Rear sight + front sight aligned with the red dot on top of the front sight = 'absolute co-witness'. You got it right. :D

The M&P 100 dot sight seems pretty high right out of the box...just picked it up today put on the Magpul Mbus flip up sights and can see the red dot like a 3/4 co witness? not sighted in yet so that may change.

Believe the 100 is a 4 moa which is much more in line with a handgun vs AR / AR-like .22lr. Just fine for 25m and in but I'd definitely want no larger than a 2 if going at any greater distances. Perhaps they discounted precision shooting with their .22s line.

Now that I have the M&P 100 Dot scope mounted in the correct direction it's perfect absolute just like your pic right out of the box.

Well done, sir! :D What, did you have it on backwards or something the first time?

Honestly co witness makes zero sense to me.
( it was done in my time in the military as quick field expedient way to get a preliminary zero with a red dot to limit ammo waste at the zero range)

But on a gun with folding sights ?
If red dot works sight should be folded down and not visible anyway, and the sights only used when the red dot fails.
Either way if you are using one system you are fully ignoring the other, so why worry ?

UTG mount for TR-25 RD

This mount works to co-witness on my 15-22. I usually don't use it. Trust the dot. Very accurate without the RD too.
