New 3913

The problem with this thread is that even though it's titled "New 3913," the only pictures so far are of Jesse's HK P7's.

So here are pics of the 3913 which I picked up from my FFL today, including a couple with a 639 for comparison.

bb:

My apologies. I didn't mean to hijack the 3913 thread with my P7 photo's.

Actually I'm a big fan of three different types of firearms only one of which is the HK P7.

I am a big fan of Seecamp pistols (of which I have two and my wife one, wanna see lots of photos of those?) Just kidding.

But my favorite larger caliber cc pistol is without a doubt my 3rd Generation Smith.. Which one? Can't tell you, because on any given day I'm likely to change my mind..

I have my original 3913 which I bought new in 1995. Actually I guess I really don't have it anymore as my Son has placed "dibs" on it and I've cleaned it up and put it away for him along w/three mags and a new holster..

But then on other days I like my CS9 or 3913LS.

Another 3gS pistol I bought NIB recently is the 6906... I read where the 6906 is just a double stack 3913, so I bought one and it's a very nice cc pistol. Add the 5906 15rd mags (w/+2 S&W mag extender) and you have a lot of firepower in a relatively small package.

The only problem I found with the CS9 is I liked it so much I bought a CS45, and NOW I sorta prefer it for cc duty as my primary choice to accompany my always present LWS380..

Sorry I couldn't keep the post 100% on the fine 3913, but you didn't see anymore stinkin' pictures of my P7's did ja?

Just yanking your chain..

Best Wishes,

Jesse

Hey Jesse,
Although, I'll never catch up to your collection, my next purchase will probably be a 6904. I want a S&W double stack compact.

My 3913 wasn't NIB, but it looks to have been fired very, very little. There is the slightest hint of holster wear around the nose, and there were a couple of chocolate donut crumbs or something else in the serrations on the slide near the decocker (as expected for a very good police trade-in).

Well, you'll probably never be as OLD as I am either..

As for buying new or used, I think a 3gS that has been well maintained is a good choice either way.. I think of the 3gS as well made, of excellent quality, and a NIB anything is only NIB until it's used the first time..

So, everything I have now is used..

Hi CB:

Yep.. My apology for not remembering you, but I plead old age, short term memory loss and advancing senility..

My wife says the only way to make me remember anything is to put it in a note on the fridge, and someone must have pulled your note off.

But yep, still here in the magical woodlands of SE Ga. with my trusty companion, Buddy the wonder dog. In fact early this morning when Buddy and I were talking along the creek he jumped a tremendous doe, and I always enjoy seeing them in the woods.. Buddy has learned not to chase them anymore, and that's a good thing. Going away that doe's tail looked 18" high. We've seen her before. I think she stays near to help my neighbors 6 pet goats eat grain.

Nice hearing from you.

Best Wishes,

Jesse
