New .40S&W

I just bought an M&P .40S&W FS. to go with my .45 FS. It has to sit in "gun jail" for a few more days so, I'll post a pic when I pick it up.

Congrats on the new pistol! You picked a good mate for the 45. Too bad it's locked up, that would drive me crazy. I moved outta cali right before they started that nonsense. At least you've got lots of wide-open shooting areas in the desert.

I used to do a lot of dirt bike riding (and shooting) out your way - El Mirage, Adelanto, Shadow Mountain, Kramer Junction. I miss it dearly. Well, maybe not so much this time of year, but those were some real good times. We used to ride from Adelanto out to Edwards (as close as we could get) to watch the space shuttle land and/or take off on the back of that 747 or what-ever it was. What a sight.

Looking forward to a picture or two and maybe a range report.

I like collecting M&P40's. I have a 40 Shield, 4.25" M&P40, 5" M&P40L CORE. I am sticking with the 40 for now cause that is what I currently reload for. I just got done loading 1800 rounds of 40 yesterday, this should last for a little while. (LGS had 2000 rounds of bullets in on Friday that came home with me)

The M&P 40 is a great gun. I have one & am now waiting for my M&P 40C to be delivered. From everything I heard the compact is as good as the FS & if that's the case all I need is a Shield or M&P 45 to help complete the collection. or both. With my lack of funds that'll have to wait awhile.

Great choice! I also have a full-size 40, soon with the 9mm and 357SIG barrels. It's like having three guns, and you have the opportunity to shoot whatever ammo is readily available.

Mind me asking what brand barrel and your success?

I dropped.an OEM 9mm barrel in and experience no issues after 1000 rounds.
