Remember that Pro series gun is only the performace center PART. It was still assembled on a normal assembly line and not "touched" by a performance center smith. So it'll only feel slightly better than a normal 442.
I got mine last weekend and have been putting in around 100 "rounds" a night of dry fire practice. May just be the extra exercise but the trigger feels better to me than when I first got it.
To the OP: A similar thread recently discussed the virtues of buying the 442 Pro versus the "regular" 442, and opinions were roughly split. I believe the 442 Pro does not have anything done to its trigger, per se, to make it difference from the "regular" 442. But, that said, mine is not bad and is getting better as it breaks in. For a lot of reasons, a light trigger is not something I want in a self-defense, single-action only, pocket pistol - so I'll wait for mine to gradually get smoother with use, rather than going with a "trigger job" or a lighter spring. Overall, these are great pistols and the moonclip can be a real plus.
I know I do, that's the problem. My other M442 and the other J frames are lonely for another sibling! With or withoutYou need one!

Just don't stand in my way if there's one in the showcase when I walk in the LGS!
Some real J-hounds in this thread, good folks all! Happy holidays and good shooting.
