Attn: Cocked & Locked

Who did the beautiful finish on that 1917?

Got one that is void of the old blue and would sure look nice in nickle!

your camera is perfectluy capable of taking good pictures for forum resolutions to use well. It is likely more about settings and LIGHTING....

nice grips- I love the looks but they are too small for me.

Just horrible ugly looking ill fitting grips. Let me solve your dilemma, send them to me and I'll put up with hiding them in the back of my vault.

Just kidding, wish I had them.

A little suggestion.Get in touch with the Executioner. His work is fantastic and prices are VERY REASONABLE.He will work with you until you are happy. When I ordered mine I said you are the expert and the artist I don't want to disturb your creativity. My only request is to not have deep bark as I have small hands. He sure hit a home run with mine....Mike
By the way, with the addition of these stags to my 617, I now have a set of sambar stags on each of my two favorite .22 revolvers.

Now if I could just find a set of sambar stag boot grips for my 442-2, I would be in stag heaven!

Hi Mike,
Patrick's a good guy and I even contacted him but he doesn't do boot grips which is what I wanted. I also have small hands and with J frames, boots just fit me perfectly and give me great control shooting heavier loads.

C&L,
Your guns are just beautiful! You have some of the best sambars out there.

Thanks for all the nice comments gents!

Years ago, one of the local gun shops was going out of business and was selling everything off. He had a bunch of sambar stags so I picked out three pair. A J frame, a K frame and a N frame. I said "Hey Charlie, how much do you Want for the stags?" He said, "Ah, give me 25 bucks each".

IF I ONLLY KNEW!

"Gnarly" popcorn stag grips 45Wheelgun and beautiful holster!

SNW REV,
I know what you're talking about. I dug out my old receipts for several sambar grips I bought in the '80's and early '90's from Art Jewel Ent., (Eagle Grips), and every pair was under $40.00 including shipping.

Thanks Gebe. Holster by our own Wyatt Burp.

I have never heard the phrase "popcorn stag" before. I have always wondered how to describe the way the left grip looked. It was what sold me on that set of stag, I had never seen a set that looked that way.

I've been around knives and knifemakers for years and that's what that type of sambar stag is known in the knife trade as it looks like popcorn or popcorn "exploding".

Nice work WB.

A FEW MORE

Here's a coupla 629's. The grips are Samar Stags by Eagle.
