I would like to see:

A "Classic" Model 28, basically take the Classic 27 and give it a matte blue, don't do the checkering on the topstrap and offer it for a few bucks less than the 27, which was the original intent of the 28 anyway:)

A Classic taper barrel 6" Model 10.

Classic Model 520.

I forget the model number, but I've seen a picture of a very rare 4" fixed sight N-Frame .44 Magnum...it was basically a Model 58 in .44 Mag....a Classic version of that would sell like hotcakes. Wouldn't be too hard to just use the existing Classic 58, bore the holes to .44 and .357 respectively, instead of .41 Magnum, and take care of two of my wish list guns:cool:

Given the state of modern manufacturing, I feel that the K-frame .357 should be brought back. S&W states that they were tired of so many k-frame .357's coming back for warranty work from owners who didn't adhere to the ".38 for training, .357 for carry" rule.........but make them from stronger steel, and recommend 158 gr. .357 only and it's problem solved........I would love to see Classic 13's, 65's, 66's and 19's come back.

When they introduced the Model 296, I asked Herb Belin if they were going to do a 4" in fixed sights. He told me no, that larger frame, 4" fixed sight guns, "didn't sell".

Yet, Cylinder and Slide turns out conversion sights that sell well, and S&W ends up putting them on their Night Guards.

In the 1970's, the cool guys thought you were a rube if you didn't have adjustable sights on your duty revolver, or had them put on your 1911. Attitudes have changed.

Wow, that is a neat gun!

I love fixed sight N-Frames, too bad the older ones are so darn expensive..........I have no issues with the new S&W's, I have 3 of them and they have been great. A lot of the fixed sight Classics appeal to me, a Classic 58 is definitely high on my list, as well as a Model 21.

I feel that adjustable sights have no place on a fighting revolver, and with the right weight bullets and a properly regulated gun, I have no real need for adjustable sights anyway:)

I have no trouble peppering a B-27 silhouette at 100 yards with my 581's, and I'm far from a master handgun shooter.
