Hunted and enjoyed firearms my whole life. Recently acquired a SW model 34-1 22. Looking for info. Maybe someone could help. my understanding is m serial number started at m70,000 but this one starts at m 15 xxx

M prefix started at 1 and ran to over 220,000.
M1 to M30000 ran from 1969 to 1971, so yours would be about 1970.
