Go ahead and start trying to figure out what you want for your second revolver. :D

Well the guy didn't show so the hunt continues for the first.
Borntoloose that's a nice pair, who did the work on the government? Nice attention to detail.

The guy I bought it from. It's a Wiley Clapp with a Harrison trigger sear, disconnector and hammer and a flush cut and reverse crowned barrel.

Welcome from the OKC Metro area! First and foremost "Go Pokes!" Nice pistol. Careful with these damn Smith's, they can be BAD addictive!. My bro in law has 25-30 now. I used to poke fun at him when I only owned semi-auto's..........Until I screwed up and bought a 586 in January. Then came a no dash 686 in early February, and picked up a 686+ Talo last week. Yes, my name is Kyle, and I got it bad!

Just West of Houston here. Probably 4 years ago I went to the revolver for CC. Since then I sold off many semi autos.
Since buying a Ruger LCR 357 it has been my main carry and the few semi autos sit in the safe. I recently bought an 640-1 police trade in and it could get put into CC rotation. The LCR 357 model only weighs 17oz. and I seldom notice I am carrying it. The 640 is around 5 OZ. heavier.
I like the revolver for its total simplicity, safety and dependability. For me any revolver with a super heavy pull trigger is a no go for me. The LCR has the best trigger of any revolver I have ever shot and the 640 is real close to it.

Welcome from a fellow Texan 1911guy. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.
