New here I have 3 Smith's but my 629-1 has a ?

Serial # that I haven't noticed on any threads. It reads starting with awf6xxx stamped inside when the cylinder is open. It is a 3 inch barrel. With grooved pistol grip wood handle's. Somebody mentioned to me it was a "lew Horton" could it be or not be? And in either case . What is it worth? It is a 44 Magnum

Even if it's NOT a "Lew Horton" gun, any 3" big bore revolver is commanding high prices these days. I'd say, $1000 easily.
