Hello all:
I am new to this forum and somewhat new to "educated" shooting. I am an experienced hunter (upland birds mostly) and like to think of myself as a safe gun-handler.
I bought a S&W 669 a couple of years ago, and since have educated myself a little more. I realize it should have been the other way, but live and learn. About a year ago I took a concealed weapons permit/handgun safety course.
I truly believe if someone is going to own a weapon, they should be accurate, and especially, safe with the gun. So along that train of thought I am trying to shoot more. I am shooting to the right.
I notice that the grip feels a little large, front-to-back, for my hand. I suspect that has some effect on my shooting. I also HIGHLY suspect I need a lot more practice.
From what I have learned recently, it seems that the back of the grip may be replaceable. Is that true? And if so, can someone steer me in the direction of where to get something? Or are they unavailable because of the age of the gun?
