Hello everyone. It has been very hard to find any varget lately so when Midway got some I jumped on it. However, the bottles I received did not have a seal on them when i uncapped them. I was alarmed and i called the sierra tech line and I was informed that they had to change the manufacturer of the bottles and that they were no longer sealed from the factory. The tech assured me that the product was fine. I just thought that I would share this info just in case you were wondering, as I was, as to the integrity of the product.

Same thing on recent lots of IMR rifle powders.

I appreciate this addendum! I purchased a couple of bottles of IMR7828SSC, and found that mine were not only not sealed, but appear to be an ounce or two light on powder! With a pound, I should be able to load 109 rounds of my preferred 7mm Rem Mag match load, but was lucky if I got 85 with a pound of powder! It is as though they include the weight of the container with the powder!

Same situation here.

Seems like every time I open a can of new propellant the "seal" either comes off, is partially off, or is lodged inside the cap. Rarely ever "sealed."

At first I was very concerned...but after reading countless postings on this subject have come to realize this is more of the rule than the exception.
