New HTP FBI Load - more chorno data out there?

Concerning Remington's latest FBI load, HTP 38 Spl +P 158 gr LHP.

I have seen just one test of it on-line (this site). Looks slower than previous and as advertised. I heard Remington said that they didn't change the load from prior "Express" version?

Has anyone else tested it out of 4 or 6 inch revolvers and could share the chornograph data with us?

Anyone test WW latest FBI load as well? They are again selling it.

There are a lot of test and articles on this site and on the net on
the "FBI Load", you might have not typed in the correct info?

Winchester, Federal and Remington loads were tested along
with the Buffalo Bore standard and high energy FBI loadings.

You might try again and find your information.

Most likely none, but what does that mean or prove? The OP asked this question because he carries a 38 SPL revolver and wants to be at the top of his game! Now, I ask you, what did your REPLY do to satisfy the OPs question? It had a tone of ridicule to me, which suggested his query was really not valid in today's world.

Thanks for asking this question! I will be watching for the replys, since I am also a revolver guy and 38s are at the top of my control limit.

Per his other post he "only" has M 28. So how do you know what he carries.? All this is about Factory ammo not reloading.

The new bullet technology (ie Jacketed HP has pretty much outdone lead bullets)

Gasp I know, some still hold on to the lead bullets which is fine, but at a SD distance of 10 feet or less does it truly matter?

Can the actual projectile be purchased for reloading, What proprietary powder does Remington use that we can not get?

Do you have the chronograph to record this data for the OP are is this an AMMO question??

I love this sport, and have been enjoying for it for well over 40 yrs. I like the old school stuff and associated ballistics and hand loading, as many do on this site.

I like duplicating the old rounds and their velocities. Guess it is as nostalgic as shooting enjoyment. Guess some will understand as they grow older.

Granted, no issue with duplicating old loads or nostalgic stuff, just that most in the reloading section do not buy factory ammo to chronograph it. If that is your goal than a chronograph is in your future as is buying the factory loads

How "new" is the Remington load? The one from 2014?

Why they even call it a FBI load anymore is probably just advertising. Heck the FBI is probably switching from 40 SW back to 9mm anyway.

No apologies needed. It is/was a very popular load. I just think the new short barrel bullets and load data from Speer can produce the same end results with less wear and tear on the gun and the shooting hand!

The BB load was supposed to be a duplicate of the original FBI load?. I agree it is a brutal load. To me it was pretty much a 357 Mag load. It would not be a load I would carry in a snub nose. You get off one shot, A follow up shoot would be tough plus the blast and flash is too much (for me)

Actually in my 327 Federal Mag, I can get a 115 gr Gold Dot going faster than that load out of my SW 632 Pro 2 inch barrel, Plus it has 6 shots! Don't have my chrono data here but it was over 1200FPS
