I really like the end, but personally I don't care for the grooves running around the length of it.

Your craftsmanship and finish looks top notch as always though!

ya the groves were just somethin different i may go back and build it with flutes instead... i was trying to bring the notchy look of the forearm into it so that it looked like it came from the factory that way...

Maybe you should just build one that extends the rails the entire length of the barrel shroud! You know, because we need even more places to attach accessories. :p I'm sure MidwayUSA would thank you though! :D

Im having enough problems coming up with enough money to fill up the rail space i have... lol

I hear you there! I need to stop buying stuff for a while... If my girlfriend finds out how much I've spent on this recently I'll be in for some trouble. ;)

So I'm going to chill out on the purchases for a bit, wait on the parts I've ordered and just shoot the gun! :D

Of course I'll be keeping my eyes on your new shrouds so I can plan my next purchases... :D

thanx, i did notice girls checking it out at the range the other day... lol

I was just looking at your fluted one you had up earlier and had an idea. I'm not sure if it could be done but I think it could. I was thinking that it would look sweet with a fluted shroud with an A1/A2 flash suppressor design on the end so fluted with horizontal slits.

To take it a step further, (this is what I wasn't sure about) what about making a shroud that will thread onto the threaded barrel but then has its own set of threads on the muzzle end so you could add different flash suppressors/compensator?

would that work? or would the standard flash suppressors be too small in diameter and look funny?

Hmmmm... So you're talking about an assortment of custom shrouds with muzzle threads to accommodate custom suppressors to chose from? Sounds like a catalog in the making, eh Belt_Fed?

bad news its no more duinog them out of aluminum.. if we go that route

The increase of Midway deliveries since the arrival of my 15-22 has also had another monetary side effect.....

While walking through the Mall yesterday my wife says... 'Oh look, Apple Computer has their own store here'. 30 minutes later I'm trying to explain why that's just way too much money for a laptop. And then the bomb comes... 'Really, dear? Shall we total up our Midway expenses'. The salesman snikers... and asks me if I would like to look at some accessories for my new MacBook Pro. :o:o:o

Bad news is she is probably right, The good news is i think we can mount the mac on the quad rail:D

i mounted my droid... i can surf the web while i plink:D:D:D

MacBook Pro 13.3. With a couple extras... I was able to escape the store with a small $1500 box in my hand.
All she does is surf the Internet from the couch in the evenings which any $400 laptop will do just as well. Oh well... I suppose it's like buying a $500 .22lr to shoot cans which any $200 10-22 will do just as well. Wooooops... did I say that? :o

That is so true.

aahh but us married guys seem to forget, happy wife=happy man. means next midway bill or firearm purchases goes by with nothing being said. and life goes on :D

LOL It really "turned" out nice (machinist humor?) :)

That quote is punny. BELT_FED that shroud looks great. You matched the spacing of the rails, and it does look like an extension of the quad rail. I am tooling up to do the screw on shroud. That way you can still put whatever flash hider you want on. There is another one that will screw on, and take the place of the flash hider. Lots of options. Maybe if Midway will pick up your product line, it can offset some of your purchases.

This married guy does not forget... and I got an additional $1500 on the Amex to remind me;)

Oh yeah... looks like I might have a good Sig contact. R522 SWAT $529! Says he'll have it in two weeks (employee married to Sig Rep) We'll see...
