I just got my new M&P 40C Talo Edition yesterday and took it to the range today. It's a very nice and smooth shooting gun.
I took along my K-38 .38 special and shot them both. I actually did better with the M&P. I was really surprised.
This was only my second time shooting a semi-auto and the first was only my friends Glock 9mm a few years ago.
I included a picture of my first 10 shots.

Nice shooting! I almost got a 40 but ended up getting a 9. I want a compact 45 next. :p

Nice shooting Steve, I just got a 40c to compliment my other M&P's.. I like it lots. Shot 200 rds through it, it's a handful, different than my 40FS, but I'm getting on that target pretty good. Bought a 357sig barrel for it and shot that last nite... holy big bang!!! That sucker barks, real snappy and with the ported barrel, the flames out the end of the barrel are impressive.... :D Good luck keep shooting, my 40c is my primary carry gun for now... I'll be shooting lots and a little with the 357s when I want to make some real flash and noise.. :)

Congrats

I have a full size Walther P99AS in .40. I couldn't very well have only one handgun in a caliber so I ordered a 40c, with night sights. Should have it in a couple weeks.

I'm thinking I might buy a 9mm barrel (Storm Lake) for it too since I have a FS 9 Pro and they could share magazines.

Nice shooting.

Congrats on the purchase. I think the 40C is a great all around gun. Good weight to control the 40, but not too heavy for carry. I like it better than my M&P 45FS or my G17, when I have to grab a gun for the range. I guess it is best to like your carry gun that way.

I should get the conversion barrel to 9mm and some mags, just in case.

Must be a handful in 357sig.

357 sig....... it's an animal, but I'm getting it.. :D

Thanks guys. I went to the range again last night and put another 100 rounds through it. I hadn't shot any rapid fire yet with it so I tried it out with my last 10 rounds. My target had a clear head of the silhouette and I put all 10 right in the head. It controls very nicely.
