New M&P Parts available soon from Apex

Oh man....It's been a heck of a day....we got the Trigger Bar Springs in and they're all packed and ready to go.

Our Duty/Carry Action Enhancement kits are on our web-store. The kit includes our sear, striker block and spring, duty rate trigger return and sear springs.

The combination should yield a pretty nice carry trigger.

For those who already have our sear and USB, we will have the spring only kits up in the next day or so. We are attempting to reconfigure our shopping cart to allow for parcel post shipping.

If you absolutely cannot wait for the shopping cart, email us at [email protected] We (to be read LISA) will be processing the spring kits manually until the shopping cart is set up.

Remember, be nice to Lisa in your emails. She has lumps of coal for the naughty ones.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know that the 45 Hard Sears are up on our online shopping cart. We just received, QA'd and packaged 100 of them. We have another production run of 500 on order to keep up with demand.

I just want to say, I installed these parts (striker block, spring and sear) yesterday in M&P9 and it's like a totally different gun. I have not put the trigger spring in cuz I really like the way it is, I don't have a trigger pull gauge but I will tell ya, It's smooth as hell and light on the pull, resets very well. Went to the range today and man was this thing smooth, friends liked the feel as well... Anyone who has bought an M&P knows that the trigger is rough.
Thanks Apex for and awesome product.

I put sears and striker blocks in three guns this weekend. Amazing results. Now I need to order a few more.

It is not hard at all BarbC. Take ya about 15 min if you are able to strip down the M&P. They have a video on how to do it. Watch it and then try. I will see if I can find you a link. I installed the sear and USB kit in my .45 FS. Very noticeable trigger difference. Great job Apex.

I just pick up a M&P 9mm Pro 5"...I was thinking of up grading to Apex
parts...they (S&W) claim the triggers on the Pro Series are custom parts and the triggers are better that the other models. I am Revolver guy and 1911's.... I have been reading about Apex and M&P pistols...most of the post...are members with non-Pro models. Has anyone tried the Apex parts in a "Pro"? I have not fired a round yet...just got it today and I really know very little about these pistols.

I ordered the kit (striker block, sear, springs) for my m&p40. I read that the striker block spring is %20 lighter than stock. I think the sear spring is heavier. Is the trigger spring heavier or lighter than stock?

Thanks,

Our trigger return spring will add about 1 lb to the pull weight in comparison to the factory trigger spring (on non-MA compliant guns).

We just received a write up in The Tactical Wire. If you're not familiar with The Tactical Wire I would encourage you to sign up for the bi weekly news letter. It's one of the best sources for the latest and greatest news in our industry.

I have to get these parts! I still kick myself for never buying Ernest Langston's performance parts for Beretta's and then they were gone. No replacement exists for his triggers to this day.

Can I place a back order or do I need to wait till they are in stock (The 45 Sear I mean)?

I installed the Apex sear and striker block in my standard full size 9mm. After comparing that setup to my stock 9mm Pro I went ahead and added the Apex parts to the Pro. It was a definite improvement.

Thanks Randy. I installed everything but the trigger return spring in the m&p40 last night. I want to measure the trigger pull and take it to the range before I put in the spring. Judging from the dry fire last night, my preference will probably be to install the spring to increase the pull weight on this pistol.

The take up is so much smoother.... I know for sure that I NEED the striker block in my other pistols. The break is crisp and the overtravel is reduced. I did open the trigger bar loop just a tad to put the takeup at about the same point as my other (stock) pistols. Before I opened the loop, the break was occurring right at the point of the trigger stop on the frame.

I can't say that the reset is any more distinct than before the change. Perhaps the trigger return spring will help that. I am hesitant to judge this until after some range time. I should mention that it amused my family to hear groans of pleasure during the dry fire:) Almost a "when harry met sally" moment

I didn't have any trouble with the install. I thought your videos were quite good BTW. I had read elsewhere that people can have trouble removing the rear sight (to install the striker block), but I have had the rear sight off on three pistols and did not a problem with any of them.

Thank you.
