Hello everyone. I just picked up a new M&P15-22 this week. I have not had the opportunity to shoot it yet, but so far I am very happy with my purchase and I cannot wait to see what it can do. My 15-22 is the NJ neutered version... no flash hider, stock is pinned so it cannot collapse, and 10 round mag only.
I purchased the 15-22 for two reasons. 1) I also own a Beretta 92A1 (my first firearm) and as much as I love the Beretta I can't afford to shoot 9mm as much as I'd like to. and 2) I plan to purchase a "big boy" AR15 type rifle down the road and I figure the 15-22 would be a good trainer.
When I first opened the box to the rifle, I noticed a decent sized scratch on the rear sight, chipped through the finish. I called SW customer service and they will replace the rear sight free of charge. Otherwise I am very happy with my purchase and I look forward to spending plenty of time on this forum.
