We're on the way home and the wife says "Let's swing by our LGS just for the fun of it". Of course I'm always up for a trip to the candy store. We walk in (with a bag of fresh made apple cider donuts for the owner, a reired LEO and friend we often trade barbs with).

We've been looking for a shield for Helen to try out for a while and he has one - she tries it out and it just doesn't fit in her hand the way she'd like. The owner says I have a M&P9c with laser that just came in yesterday. Helen racks the slide, dry fires a few times and I see a big grin!

Ten minutes later we're out the door with a new 9c and a couple of boxes of ball to warm it up. You just have to love a practical wife!!!:D She says I might even get to try it out...

Congrats. I wish my wife was like that. Good choice on the pistol. Ive got the 9c also. And its not much bigger than the shield and holds more ammo and can use the full size m&p mags.

Congrats on the purchase, it is a great gun I like mine a lot, eats any type of ammo.

I did the first field strip this morning. I'm impressed with the fit and finish, but I have always been a Smith guy. Put the laser grip on and it seems real close to the sight picture. Have to get to the range to just how close it actually shoots. The boss says I have to wait - it's hers and she gets first crack at the range.

Out Friday and wife suggest we stop also at the local gun shop. Been thinking about Shield also, but reading some not so positive posts. Look at a 40c and like the way it felt, wife says get it. Got to love a great wife.
