Hi, all. I've been waiting 14 weeks for my mags. I've been in touch with somebody at S&W and the MIR company roughly every 10 days since week 2 because I moved and needed to change my address. Going to share what I know as fact. Last one I just learned today.
All the MIR company does is verify the rebates. They then send a list to S&W, who then does the shipping of the mags. I've been told several times that they were working on the first list. (i wasn't on.)
They told me to keep calling back and checking, so I have. As of 10 days ago no updated database. 3 different people including the supervisor at S&W responsible for this list and getting the mags out took my new address and told me theyd get it changed when the new "list" came in.
I called this morning and was told by an employee VERY rudly that "the promotion was so successful they are out of stock". I asked when they would have more and the reply VERY rude and loud was "whenever we manufacture more"
14 weeks no mags and then this today. Could be another 2-3 months.
Don't think I'll ever buy another one of their firearms again.
A good deal of the business is closed for a week or so but will keep calling and will keep everybody updated.
12 weeks since they received my submission, still no mags.....
They sent me three more! They must have had duplicates of my rebate in their system haha.
The fine print states that this does not include ny, Connecticut and ma...any one know why?..![]()
I sent in my form at the end of may, it is now the start of September, and still nothing.
The guy at the rebate company I have talked to a few times, Ryan, seems incredibly annoyed when I call to get a status update. I have called once every other week since 8 weeks passed. He told me they'll get to me when they get to me and there is nothing I can do about it, or will be done to meet the deadline they set for the promotion.
I called S&W, and they claim they have NO, NONE, ZERO 9mm magazines. I am not kidding. He said whenever they eventually get built, of which there is no timeline, they'll send them out. There will be no additional compensation or expedited shipping for not meeting the terms of the rebate.
What GREAT customer service all around.
I have owned many S&W firearms, and have had to send guns back to be repaired new from the box. I was always treated with great customer service, and turnaround time was always less than 3 weeks.
But I guess since they already have my money, and there's no safety liability, screw me. Just keep sending out all the mags with the new guns, whenever we get to the people who already paid, we get to them.
I am pretty dissappointed.
