Been searching a while for a nice 5906 or even a 910 recently... wound up picking up a beautiful 1006 go figure

Managing to pickup a 1006 in California is a pretty good trick, nice score. I'd sell off body parts to be able get one up here in NorCal.

After 15 years, I was recently reacquainted with my 915... what a great gun! I love it so much, I'm spending about 3x the original cost in mods: Wolff recoil spring, Buffer Tech recoil buffer, Novak Wide-notch LoMount rear sight (white dot), Novak Fiber Optic Front Sight (Green), Crimson Trace laser grips, polish feed ramp, action job, re-crown barrel, remove hammer spur, add front serrations to slide, shorten grip tang, anodize frame and refinish in matte black. The work should be done sometime in January. I will post pics when complete if anyone is interested.

I do have a question for you pro's: I found my CS9 a little hard to take down in that you have to hold the slide in a certain position while pushing out the slide release lever (which is a pretty tight fit). Also during re-assembly depressing the internal levers (I don't know what to call them) while re-installing the slide appears somewhat tricky.
I'm always able to take it down and re-assemble it OK, but it seems like its a little harder to do than one would expect. Any suggestions as to what I could be doing wrong?
Thanks,
Jim

Interesting to see you replaced the bobbed hammers on two of your compact 9mms ldp4570.

Well ones a 3913 9MM, and the other is a 4516-2 .45ACP. I just like the way they look with the full spur, plus the holsters used with both have thumb breaks so its just a little bit more secure that way.
