Hello,

I'm new to the forum, figured I'd introduce myself. I don't own any guns at the moment, but I have just passed the HSC test earlier this week. I also went to Turners (to get a demonstration on what is required during the Handling test prior to purchasing a gun). I have been to a shooting range twice and enjoyed every moment of it.

I still feel I have a lot to learn and understand in regards to safe gun-handling, and will continue to learn. I plan on purchasing a Glock as my first gun (it's what I've used at the range) as soon as I feel completely comfortable and confident in taking the handling demonstration.

On the side of guns, I also enjoy various forms of Wordsmithing (lyricism, poetry, wordplay, rap battles, spoken word, basically anything having to do with the clever/creative use of words). I've tried the Muay Thai (kickboxing) over a year ago and I would like to get back into it once I get off my lazy butt!

I also love playing poker (home games, casino). I enjoy the mind-game nature of it. I am not at all the "let's gamble", "throw your money away" type of player. I enjoy understanding the psychology, the mathematical odds of it, etc.

Enough about me. I shall surf the forums for the time being.

Note: the meaning behind my username is a simple response to the "guns kill people" statement, which I don't necessarily agree with.

Kind regards!

Welcome from Texas Marlon. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

You seem like a man of great knowledge.

I believe part of shooting skills is "knowledge", and being able to hold the damn thing still. Some guys have a "knack" for hitting a bulls eye. I admire that in shooters.

Hope to see you out in the threads. Welcome.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Seems like a great group we got!

Sorry for the late reply, I've been fascinated by all the things I've come across (Google) about customized guns, S&W Competitor Revolvers w/ 6" Barrel (WOW!), among other things! I think I found my new addiction.

Hope to view other parts of this forum more often and join in on the convo!
