Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am a new owner of S&W 686-6 3in.tallo edition. Sadly to say, it is at the factory for a "canted barrel". The good news is that if it were not for reading the post on the forum I might not have been looking for this, or noticed the damage. Purchased on the internet for a good price, new in box. This was my first mistake, hopefully my last. Still love the gun it is my second S&W purchase in 35 years. My first was a model 19 2 1/2in. Sadly to say i had to part with it several years ago. Pride in workmanship has definately gone out the window, with all gun manufactures. Hopefully S&W will do a good job of repairing it and i will not have a nightmare of a story to tell. Thanks for all of your help by contributing your posts.

Howdy and happy Thanksgiving from South Carolina, and welcome to the forum.

Buying sight unseen is sometimes the only way to acquire what you want, if what you want is hard to find locally.
Your warranty is excellent and hopefully you get back something your happy with.

My 3" 686-6 (bought online) had to go back twice for action problems, but now it's my favorite concealable revolver. :D
