Just signed up here. I have a couple smiths but i just picked this little guy up for 308$ out the door from academy. I got them to price match an online ad. Had to go to 2 different stores because the first one turned me down. I been carrying a taurus tcp for the last 4-5 years and thought this would be a nice upgrade. Thinking about getting the short stroke trigger kit from galloway. Anyone have experience with it?

Nice purchase! Still one of my favorite deep concealment 380's.

I have and recommend the Galloway kit. The current version of the trigger kit is their best iteration. I also enjoy their aluminum mag release, safety delete plug, and a few other goodies on my Bodyguard. The parts install can be a bit tricky but they have walkthrough videos for each part which helps.

congratulations on a nice gun bought at a good price.
only advice i have is check the screw that holds the laser in the frame after each trip to the range. it tends to work its way out with alot of shots fired. a dedicated hex driver [.05"] is alot handier than the L shaped Allen wrench that comes with the gun. Some use BLUE loctite on the threads. no need to reef on the screw...just keep it snug.
this is a surprisingly accurate little pistol ...i think you will enjoy...and welcome to probably the best firearm forum on the net.

Welcome. I picked up a Bodyguard a couple months ago. Haven't had any issues with it at all; has taken any ammo I used so far including reloads. Over 200 rounds through it.

My granddaughter really likes it. Trigger is much different from my 9mm Shield; the Shield feels really light when I change guns at the range after playing with the Bodyguard. I put a Hogue grip on it and found it fit me much better and improved my accuracy.

Still on the fence about carrying a .380. But if I decide to, that's where I'll look first. Congratulations and welcome!

Ya it makes sense for me personally. I live in texas and wear shorts 90% of the year. I dont like wearing belts so pocket carry is the most convenient for me. I occasionally carry iwb with my 9mm or 40 but its just not very confortable to me

Congrats

Welcome to the S&W forum and congrats! The BG380 is a much misunderstood gun, and if you want to find hateful posts about it on the interwebs, you can. Most of those people had unrealistic expectations. But I've had one since 2011 and it's a pleasure to own and shoot. With some quality practice you can master the trigger pull. Enjoy your new little friend!
