Hey guys,

I'm a new member from Toronto. Just got a S&W MP9 in early April, luckily I was able to put 1200 rounds through it in the two days. Had a great time, no jams etc. I put only MFS 9mm FMJ 115g ammunition in it, and have realized at least for the present that reloading is not something I can realistically do (2 years left in Law school unfortunately :( )

Up north, its not as easy to get a firearm -we have to go through some real BS to get them. Getting a license is a 2-4 months affair (with the certificates to transport them to the range) :(... Luckily I was able to find an amazing range near Niagara (on our side-the nicer side :) haha) and its outdoor so lots of space plus its not expensive at all.

Unfortunately I had to head back to the UK to finish up my exams (had a months break Easter+exam review until May) so I had to leave my new hobby back home for a month. But I was really happy with my MP9, I definitely preferred it to the feel of the Glock 17 and 22. I also tried other guns (I also really like the shot of a Para damn!) handguns/rifles. Luckily I was able to get my girlfriend interested-which if you are in a long-term relationship you'll understand the ever-lasting struggle for doing stuff together that is actually mutually enjoyable:P hahaha She's gotten really good too, so all-in-all target shooting has been amazing!

I'm looking into my second gun purchase- and I'm thinking a smith and wesson 15-22 w/ compensator. I played around with it, and although its not a real rifle- I figured something cheap to shoot and easily useable by my chick would make this plinker a reasonable investment.

I have been able to find an abundance of advice from canadiangun nutz. com . I figured that if there was so much to offer from such a relatively small community, then looking down south for some friends/advice would be another gold mine :) Plus with our election going on, we are closely watching to see if our good old Conservatives win a majority. They are in comparison firearms friendly and are pushing to abolish the long gun registry (hopefully after they get rid of the 2-4month licensing system that takes 20 minutes at a shop in the States considering its basically just a criminal and mental records check.)

Anyways Hello to all , and if you have any advice about the 15-22 or about any upgrades for my MP9 I would sincerely appreciate it!

All the best

Congrats on your new purchase! Glad you like it. :D

I just got a 40c, but haven't had the pleasure of firing it as of yet. Hoping to do that in a couple of days. :D

Sorry, force of habit...most people here put 40c meaning the M&P .40 Compact :)

Happy shooting to you as well :D

Oh, haha, thanks for the heads up-I'm still a new shooter so I'm picking up the lingo. Damn, have fun with the compact-Wish we could get them up here but its prohibited to have that small a handgun.

Let me know how it shoots :)

All the best

By the way, have you heard about Praetor Holsters? Was thinking about taking one off of them, considering Raven Concealments take so long to make. In the market for a mid range (about $50) holster-thanks to our strong $ I can order one of the states no hassle :) haha

Take care

Oh, that sucks, any recommended holsters from your end? Around a $50 range if its possible. Thanks for the prompt replies, appreciate it.

Happy shooting

Nice, looks like I'm buying a Blade-Tech revolution holster for the MP9 :)

Has anyone here used a mossberg 88 tactical? Thinking about getting one, its relatively cheap-and I would hate to buy a Norinco (which is the same price basically).
