Just joined. Glad to be here. I work on firearms as a hobby, and as a second job. I am an apprentice of a master gunsmith with 30 years of experience. All I do in this business is clean and check firearms for proper operation, and fix stuff that "armchair gunsmiths" screw up. My favorite thing to say (in response to seeing a firearm which was damaged in a vise or pliers) is "and you too, can own a firearm". I only do this two days per week, because frankly, it wouldn't be as much fun if it were a full-time job.
