Welcome from Illinois. I would recommend you buy a box of 44 Specials to shoot a few before just jumping in with 44 Mag +P's. Buying a 44 back in 1983 caused me to start reloading, and create my own loads just for each occasion. Now I have loaded for over 20 different calibers.

Welcome to the forum from Louisiana .
The "Wheel Guns" are habit forming and every person on the site is an encourager and /or an enabler...so watch out !
Post some photo's when you can so we can tell you how nice your wheel gun is !

Aloha from HAWAII. Revolvers are my passion. My calibers of choice are 38spl and 357 magnum.

Enjoy and be safe.

I should have said I been lurking from MINN until I bought the 629. I think the revolver is my best looking pistol. I had a hard time choosing between the 357 and the 44. Once I get my reloading down for the 44. Well all bets are off on how long it will take me to get a 357. I did get a chance to take it to the club last Monday with a brother and my son in law. It is a sweet shooter, they loved it too. I did get a bit of a sore middle shooting finger. Kinda a glock knuckle, I put on a leather glove and all was fine. Since then I bought a set of wooden grips that should be here tomorrow.
