I was a lurker or a member long time ago, I can't remember which one but I am back now!
I have a collection of Smiths that I bought between the early 80s until the mid 90s.
I was a cast bullet manufacturer and I also had a dealers license.
I lived in New Orleans and 20 years ago my collection and everything else that I owned was under water for a couple of weeks!
A friend cleaned up a bunch of them for me and got burnt out working on flood guns and after 15 years I retrieved the ones that he had not done.
I was really sick during that time a couple of times but a miracle cure became available and it helped me to get better.
I am now finally getting around to getting parts and making some bluing salts to make them a little more presentable.
My collection was part of my retirement plan and if the guns were pristine like when I bought them I would be in really good shape but even with them being not so pretty I can still get more than if I sold them for scrap metal.
