So I am new here, but have been trolling these forums for months, looking for ideas and advice on the 15-22 for when I got up the money to purchase one. So to start off, I just so happened to win a scratch off the other day for $1500, luckiest day of my life. It just so happened to be that the Valley Forge gun show started today, so I went there (with 1500 in pocket) with the intentions of buying a 15-22, so I purchased on and almost 450 worth of goodies to throw on her. Heres some pics...

Sorry if the pics are large they are off of my Ipod touch. They are kinda crappy but oh well.

I put most of it on and together tonight, so I'll post up completed pics of her tomorrow. Happy to be a member of the forum now!

Updated! Finished (almost) product. Tell me what you think.

Not sure yet how to change the stock, I bought the milspec tube with it too, not sure if I even needed it.

Congratulations and welcome to the fold. Looks like you need to get hold of Tacticool22 and order a free float barrel adapter. If the OD quad rail is a drop in, you'll also need a delta ring, clamp-on front A2 sight or gas block and handguard cap. You'll also want to get a riser for that reflex sight so that it cowitnesses with your iron sights.

Have fun!

VERY nice rifle.

Regarding the stock:
You will not need the milspec buffer tube that came with your new stock. To remove your current stock, pull "down" on the adjustment handle (opposite direction you squeez when adjusting it) and slide off. Install the new one the same way.

FYI if you like, you can sell off the old stock and buffer tube assembly and get even more toys :)

Have fun

To install the CTR stock, stick an allen driver in the bottom of the latch (not the friction lock) and pry it up. While it is up, you can slide the stock over the receiver extension.

Replacing the stock is easy. Just look at how the mechanism works, pull up on that lever some more and slide the stock off. Do the opposite for installation. Good luck controlling the BRD.

Final product, got the stock on it, and the caa grip. With my new glock 19 that I also got at the gun show.

Damn your lucky...$1500 on a scratch off! The most I ever won was $35! I was at the Valley Forge show over the weekend too and was able to finally find mags for the 15-22.

Yours looks great! I like the OD Green with the Black. As a matter of fact I just put the Magpul MOE Stock on my 15-22 last night and I love the way it looks!

Thanks dude! You must have bought all the mags cause I only found 1 lol. I was just planning on throwing the MOE stock on it but the table with all the magpul stuff didn't have any MOE stocks left so I just got the CTR. You should post up pictures of your gun in the 15-22 picture thread.
