Hello all,

I'm sure that there are posts that cover all of the following, but I am not smart enough to divine the search function to find what I want to ask; forgive and direct me as needed.

I recently bought my first SR platform, and went with the M&P15 PSX. I am not much of an expert in the way of the SR/AR genre, though I know my way around a rifle. Ive got a few questions for the more seasoned of my peers.

First, the bolt: the manual shows a tail spring which should be installed in the bolt, and that the gas rings should be omitted. My rifles bolt has no spring and has the rings. If it weren't for the lack of the cup on the front of the DI follower I would have thought that the entire BCG was a DI unit. Is this an issue I should contact SW about? I ask because the thing functions perfectly as is! I just went to the range to put the first 50 compulsory rounds through her and discovered the bolt spring less with gas rings on removal for cleaning.

Second. I read that the PS version is an Adams Arms variant, and am wondering about replacing the handrail. Mine has a good 5 degrees of play around the barrel which seems excessive; I would have thought that the guys over at Troy who make the thing would have made it to be solid on the gun? I really want to put a free floating handrail system on it to eliminate the play and am wondering if anyone makes one that will accommodate the Smith piston gas block. I know this [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Samson-Evolution-Ex-Ff-Blk/dp/B00D4CZK88/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462323797&sr=8-1&keywords=samson+evolution+7"]Amazon.com : Samson Evolution 7" Ex Ff Blk : Airsoft Gun Rails : Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41CRxhzwhxL.@@AMEPARAM@@41CRxhzwhxL[/ame] will fit the A.A. weapon by reading some reviews but am wondering how much of a difference the Smith version would make. Anyone else have the issue I do or know how to fix it? Anyone know what I need to look for as a replacement/UG?

That's all I can think of for now, I am quite sure however that I will come up with more. Any input appreciated, and a pre-issued thanks for the time and thought supplied in replying.

Sure. Funny thing is, its meant for firearms. Not sure why Amazon in their infinite wisdom labels the link with airsoft in the title. Evolution Series 7-EX: Samson Manufacturing

Meh, could be the seller's way around having Amazon freak out on them for selling AR parts... Had eBay do that to me with the mag charger that came with my M&P.. Apparently they were not pleased at all that it was an AR accessory..

Surely there are some of the patrons of this here board that know the answers I seek! I humbly besiege thee for any morsels of good knowledge thou would send my way.

You might have a bit better luck if you humbly beseech the good members for assistance as opposed to...

be·siege
bəˈsēj/
verb
surround (a place) with armed forces in order to capture it or force its surrender; lay siege to.
"the guerrillas continued to besiege other major cities to the north"
synonyms: lay siege to, beleaguer, blockade, surround; archaicinvest
"the Romans besieged Carthage"
crowd around oppressively; surround and harass.
"she spent the whole day besieged by newsmen"
synonyms: surround, mob, crowd around, swarm around, throng around, encircle

Just sayin'. ;)

Auto-correct is going to be the death of us all. However, I submit that even when uncorrected, the verb as used contains a simulacrum of the intent with which I most assuredly "beseech" the good members of this here message board thingy.

Think of it as more an army of courteous curious children almost ready to head outside to play surrounding your ankles and querying what the scheduled activity is to be this time... And consider yourself thusly besieged.
