I'm back with new experiences and would like to ask a new round of specific questions.

I've been to the National Gun Day show, over to the big city, down this highway, and up that one. I have handled what was my favored gun, and have now found two new guns, either of which is perfect. I think it's all about price now, and they ain't cheap!

Kenny Hoffner has a NIB 327 TRR8 in his shop and let me spend quality time getting to know and understand this gun. He'll let me have it for a price that is middle of the road of auctions and "gun genie".

Tom Guthrie has a line on a NIB 327 M&P R8 for about $60 less than Kenny's TRR8. I have not held the R8 as it's not in his shop.

I don't know, what I don't know...That said, what is the real difference between the two? Granted, the TRR8 can be railed and un-railed at one's desire. The R8 having the integrated lower grove is just over 1.1oz heavier. Frame material color etc are the same, minus the M&P solid logo lug vice the TRR8 peek-a-look rod guide.

I know many of you have one or the other and some have both.

I'm asking for a bone toss here.

Tanks.

I think your best bet is to fire the example that you have not done so yet. Everyone has opinions. Unfortunately those opinions may not be suited to you. Good luck on your decision, and let us know how you make out! Bob
