I do have a quick question, did the Model 67s come with target grips, or only the Magna style? I put a Model 67 on layaway this weekend, it has target grips that sure look like they belong on it, although the bottom corners of the grips are "chewed up" I assume from a seatbelt when holstered.
I didn't see a dash/number on it. It does have a orange insert on the front sight, which some consider to be an indication that it is a 67-1. When I pay it off after the 1st, I will look closer and take some pictures.
I think the 15s and 67s have a great look and balance to them, and it will be a great range companion to my wife's post war M&P. Now I only need to get a Model 14.
There was a Model 66 next to it, but I thought the 67 would be cool, and if I can't do it with a 38, I always have my 629-4 Mountain Gun.
I actually have 2 357s, but they are Rugers and I seem to mainly shoot 38 spl reloads out of them.

Magna stocks would have been standard, but the only way to be sure if your model 67 came from the factory with target stocks would be a factory letter.

There is one at the local gun shop with Magna grips, and it looks brand new. I don't see any signs of this gun ever being fired at all. It's not my taste so I let it be.

Andy,
Model 67s came with magna style, but if the guns were a department purchase, many time the grips would be removed and replaced with other types. I have a police trade-in from J&G Sales that came with the early hard plastic Hogue grips. When I removed the Hogue grips, I observed that the stock pin had been removed to mount the Hogue grips. So I had to get another pin in order to mount the correct style original grips. Luckily, it sounds like you don't have that problem.
