Is this normal? This is a brand new gun and when the trigger is pulled and the sear is engaged , the frame above the trigger on the right side, bulges out slightly. Enough to feel and see. I have never noticed this with my other poly guns in Glock, XD, Taurus, Ruger, Etc. well, i did have an old Taurus Millennium 9mm that did this. But other than that, no other gun. Should i be concerned?

There were posts on SD9VE frames flexing a while back. It was a fairly common issue for a while and seems to be seen a lot less now. Evidently the trigger bar is not perfectly straight and causes the frame to flex at the top, right of the mag well. I had one that did the same thing. Mine never caused any problems, and I don't think others reported problems, just the annoyance of the flex. S&W will take care of it for you. Their turn around time on most SD issues is weeks not months like some guns.
Some folks detail-stripped the frame, straightened the bar, polished the guts, and ended up with a nice slick trigger pull.

Best Regards,

Got it fixed. The plunger engagement (i have no idea the real name and the manual is in the safe) on the trigger bar was ridding towards the out side if the Plunger. It would cause the rest of the trigger bar to bulge against the frame pushing it out. I Bent it a bit in ward until it road through the center of the plunger. Works like a champ now and smoothed out the trigger. I also did a little polishing while it was apart. Thanks ADP3 for the suggestion.
