New Shield ZS (Zombie Slayer)

It's not about color......blue, nickel, FED, pink..... or G__ forbid....... black......

1. I've been buying my 2 boys toy guns, to play with in the woods, for at least 12 years ( air soft for 2-3).......I don't want my guns or their real guns (they have been shooting for 4-5 years) to look like toys.. they are kids and no matter how well they are taught ...... Kids don't always think like us ( their brains not fully developed).... they can and do dumb things!!!

2. Lets not look like fools to those "people" ...... who already think we are the devil incarnate..........Zombies...... do not exist....... "we" have an ammo shortage .....lets not give them anything to use against us!!!!

3. We are for the most part "old farts" who have been handling/shooting guns for 30-50 years ( I'm at the 50 end of the scale)...... my kids and most kids have shot more rounds on video games than I have or ever will...I've taught them well........ but..they see things/guns first as part of a video game..... lets not confuse them anymore than they already are.................

4. Yes we have rights; to do things......... but let's not be stupid in the things we do..................................just because you can doesn't mean you should!!!

Let the Flaming begin..........

Back from taking the boys to soccer.....

A lot of people in this country do not like "people who have guns" because they don't know us..... and they have been fed a lot of BS about gun owners.......lets just be smart and not feed into their prejudices... about something they don't know much or anything about.......but are getting bad information about!

Just my 2 cents!

Im about fed up with this politically correct BS we continue to be spoon fed like little children who cant think or care for themselves.

If a man or woman wants a pink, green, or purple pokedot firearm, they should have it! The 2nd amendment guarantees it, and I support that right of CHOICE we all have. Never law your choices away, keep as much and fight for as much freedom as you can before it's taken away.

Lets be clear. I think that coloring up guns makes them look more like toy guns than black guns, or whatever the original color is. I most certainly am not advocating for more laws, laws stating what color your gun can be or penalties for coloring them.

I do think some good point have been made about the appearance of guns and how that applies to children and gun grabbers. If you take the approach that you have the right to do something without exercising wisdom and at times restraint, that's when other people cross the line from tolerating you to trying to take that right from you.

As with anything, what ever the government gives you it can take away. Right now in the majority of cities and states we have what we want as gun owners. Lets not make things hard on ourselves unnecessarily.

Also, I think this conversation has taken a turn for the serious more than it needs to.

Just so we're clear, this post was jokingly meant to poke fun at the zombie craze. (Notice the grin emoticon at the beginning)

This is just a normal M&P Shield with a very poor photoshop job by me. :p

I agree with everyone who dislikes the introduction of zombies  into the world of firearms and every other area for that matter.

You had em going :D.

You had em going :D.

I think you still have them going. :D
Hey we forgot to add the cammo version of firearms, to each their own my wife likes her Lilac LC9.

Besides when I was growing up toy guns looked and felt like real guns, I was taught the difference between the two, maybe we were smarter back then or maybe I had parents that paid attention to what I did and didn't let the electronic baby sitter watch us. Still remember killing a lot of evil Indians, Japs, and Nazi's, sorry for political correctness and entertained myself for hours on end outside.

Could someone "school" me on zombies? Are they somehow allergic to fluorescent green?? lol!

All the zombie guns/accessories are for those looking to be bait. One guy is sitting quite concealed picking off zombies, the other is running around with neon-green beacons letting the zombies know exactly where the free meal is at. :p

I LIKE IT! Neon green is the color of toxic chemicals which is somehow indicative of what it takes to really kill a Zombie. ;) When they see the green markings they retreat in fear. When hit anywhere with a green tip bullet it instantly kills them dead dead! Eliminates the necessity for a head shot. A really novel innovation if you ask me! :D

This trend of guns and ammo for Zombies , pink guns or any other other thing that makes a gun "look like toys" is nuts..... they are not toys.

I don't think we want guns that look like toys anymore than we want toys/airsoft to look "exactly like" guns.

Accidents happen easily enough without confusing other people of Kids!

PS I have been known to bond with my teenage boys with a episode of "The Walking Dead" LOL

Amen to that.

I think the zombie fad came about as a jab at all the hypersensitive groups saying everything is racist, sexist, fatist or whatever -ist. Zombies aren't one of the protected classes.

However, they do have a lot in common with brain dead libtards.

Not too long ago there was a big brouhaha here because one of the local gun shops was selling be-turbaned zombie target sheets, and one of the locals was offended.

Sorry folks, but I find people that get all worked up, angry, and "offended" by simple things like this and telling me "what I can't do" to be very offensive themselves.

I doubt that many of the ones we see or hear about in the news really care as much about the particular issue as about getting their 15-minutes of fame, or the dollars they may be able to extort from their victims.

We all know that there are certain people out there who've made careers out of this. I consider them to be little better than parasites and charlatans, doing more harm than good.

Me? I'm using Zombie Max 9mm & 40S&W for my defense ammo because that's what I could find at a not too unreasonable price, and I'm using a zombie-labeled ammo can for my fired brass because it was on sale and cheap, and they may yet "rise from the dead". ;) I'll keep my various weapons looking a bit more professional, but that's more a matter of personal esthetics and artistic taste.

I have had a Model 41 7" barrel on backorder for more than a year and S&W is wasting time producing this junk. Boy am I hacked.

Some people just need to relax. I think violent video games and some cartoons do far more harm to a childs mind than a colored gun.

Back to a more positive view of how this thread was started....Nope cant be a zombie slayer gun ....zombie code says any weapon that falls under the category of "zombie slayer" must at least have a 20 round mag, cylinder, clip, belt, drum or other feeding devices :p

"Why can't we all just get along". Seems like to me if someone pens something tongue in cheek and some don't like it or get it, the posts get really personal, while others acknowledge the difference and move on. BTW I always thought zombie was another word or definition for a class of people taking everthing that wasn't theirs and bleeding contributors dry; the costume was just there to fool us.

If it doesn't have a safety orange tip, it's not a toy regardless of what the rest of it looks like.

It'd be different if you painted the tip of a real gun with safety orange... Then we'd have a legitimate gripe.
