If you have any interest in trying other bullets, look at the Sierra ".45 Auto Revolver loads". You should easily be able to attain the muzzle velocity you are looking for.
I wish i could find gdhp's in 9mm, but like you i can not find them.
I’ve pretty much stopped using HP’s for defense since too many factors with clothing etc can affect performance drastically and also because a friend of mine helped in the development of the Lehigh bullets. I’m totally sold on Lehigh for 9mm and 38/357. Accuracy is very good and the damage they cause is devastating even with heavy clothing, etc. I just tried the 190gr in 45acp pushed around 1000fps in a Commander, it will probably become my carry load for my 1911’s. Lehigh bullets aren’t cheap, but they work. The fact that Bill Wilson just bought the company also tells me the technology is a winner
I agree 100% but how do you put a price on your life when using a bullet for defense. I use fmj loaded identical for practice and Lehigh for carry. A box of 50 will last forever. I’m hoping the money I spent will be wasted. You can buy an awful lot of FMJ FP in 45 or 40 for the price of Lehighs.
