Been looking at the P365 for a while to take over EDC duty from my Shield 9MM 1.0 and finally got my hands on one today. Three big advantages over the 1.0 Shield are a terrific trigger, great tritium sights, and 10+1 capacity. They are within millimeters of each other in all dimensions.
Really looking forward to putting it through its paces at the range soon.

Congrats on a nice carry gun. I like mine. Every once in a while a gunmaker comes out with something that is about just right for its intended use. The SIG P365 is in that category.

Congrats. As I've written before, I never thought I'd find a tiny 9mm I liked better than the Shield. But the P365 is it. I probably need another....

Cheers,
Whisper

I've been looking and handling the P365 SAS lately. At first I thought it was ugly, but the more I look...

MTC My wife has a p365xl as her edc She really likes and shoot it very well .

SCMike Please be real sure about that werd sight . Thers more than a few that bought it wished they had not .

I and others I know did the same thing. Went to a gun show, sold the Shield, bought a 365 ten minutes later.

Yet another advantage is the reload magazine you carry in your other pocket holds 15 rounds.

Made it to the range today with the P365 and shot 130 rounds of 115/124gr FMJ. I REALLY like this gun. It feels like it was custom fit to my hand. The texture of the grips is just right without being overly aggressive so it doesn't move around during recoil and the gun comes right back onto the target. Recoiled seemed much less than the Shield. I was surprised that despite the beefy duplex recoil spring it is also much easier to rack the slide. The trigger is terrific....about 1/4 inch of smooth take up then a very crisp break I would guess to be about 5 lbs with no over travel at all. Very short reset with a distinctive "click". I recall the Shield 1.0 trigger traveled all the way to the rear of the trigger guard when it hit the molded in stop. The Sig stops its travel after breaking at vertical.

As far as accuracy goes, I make no claim at being any thing other than a rank amateur, mostly due to not enough practice but also having to wear bifocals and having old slightly shaky hands. I can't get clear focus on both sights so I concentrate on front sight focus which helps, especially with the bright green sight on the Sig.

My first 20 rounds were target #1. Getting familiar with the trigger, sights, grip, etc. Right at a 4" group, though slightly high and left. I used what they refer to as "combat" sight alignment where the front sight dot covers the bullseye.

The next 20 were target #2. Used the "lollipop" sight picture
on the center diamond. Again a 4" group without the 2 fliers, slightly left and low.
For me personally, a 4" group at 7 yards is one of my best.
With the right shooter on this gun I'm sure its' accuracy potential is much better than the average pocket gun.

The "man" target is about 90 rounds I shot at 7 yards. It would seem the sights are a little off as most are to the left. About 60 rounds were slow deliberate fire and were in about a 6" circle in the center. The bigger hole in center mass is when I really concentrated on the front sight. The other 30 rounds were double and triple taps and rapid fire mag dumps including the head shots.

IMHO this is an excellent choice for EDC. Small easy to conceal with 11 rounds on tap and very accurate.
(I haven't figured out why my photos are always turned 90 degrees to the left)

I got mine last year and qualified with it as an off duty side arm. When I retired I qualified with my Glock model 32, but will also qualify with my 365.

I love my P365 and didn't think it could get better until I got a 12 round mag. The extra 1/8" or so in length makes the grip feel even better. I thought it would add more length, but it doesn't add much, but now my pinkie fits perfect and I got 2 more rounds to boot

Low and left is common for new shooters of the 365, for right handed users. It was for me, also.
I added a Houge Handall grip sleeve which filled my (small) hand a bit better.
I sent the slide back to Sig to have the front sight changed from a #8 to a #6 witch brought the point of impact to the top of the front sight.
A bit of practice helped bring the groups toward the center. Fortunately it's a fun gun to shoot so practice isn't a tedious affair.
Sig came up with a winner!

You guys are making me think about getting a 365 to go with my 365 XL. I really like the XL, but am now contemplating adding the standard 365 to the mix.
