New sport style forend handguard availability?

Does anyone know if s&w will sell the sport style forend to retrofit older 15-22's? I was wondering first if they even would sell it? (as they can be a bit odd on parts sales) and if it might be a good option vs the tacticool adapter & tools, then buying an aluminum hand-guard

No, they won't, at least for a while. There may be folks that want to swap but I haven't found any yet
