Well after my accident last week I had to find a new car, Ive been pretty doped up on muscle relaxers and Pain killers so I sat and watched Craigslist for the last few days, My thoughts were to find something to just get me by until I get my wits back and can really go find what I want.
This morning this one popped up on the list and I called right away thinking it might work out, The pictures were crummy but it was priced reasonably for a get around town car.
In 1985 I bought new of the showroom floor a Phil & Steve Mayer (Olympic downhilll skiers) Edition for like $27,000 it was the top of the line at that time, Well this one isnt much different than that new one 25 years ago only it was only $1200 :) it is stone mint except for some paint flaking on the roof (Arizona does that to cars). Everything works flawlessly and the only thing I need to do is change out some belts that are old and cracked, It should make a good Gunshow rig. I was pretty proud of myself. Drugs and muscle relaxers made the decision a little easier.

Very good!

Years ago, I wrecked my Cutlass Supreme by hitting a telephone pole with the passenger front wheel while backing up too fast and losing control.

While it was being fixed, I bought a Dodge Dart for $300 because driving around in and getting in & out of our spare mason dump truck was cumbersome as I was also 7 months pregnant. When I got my car back 2 months later, I sold the Dart for $200. Better than a rental.

I'd hang onto that Bronco II if I were you. A spare vehicle is great to keep around and you can keep minimal insurance on it. Our spare clunker is a '95 Bronco.

Peeling roof paint on those vehicles was an "undocumented feature", and had nothing to do with the Arizona sun. The Michigan snow did the same to mine, and the Indiana rain did it to a buddy's. Nice vehicles, though. Enjoy your new ride!

sounds and looks GOOD, hope alll is 'better'..........I like to see them old ones from out west and down south, these midwest winters, eat cars alive................

I'd love to find a deal like that! I hope you get many miles of hassle free service out of it! And hope you're feeling better and pain free soon! (without the pain pills!)

My company vehicle in the mid-late 90s was a 1990 2wd Bronco II. I put about 180,000 miles on it and it was perfect for small areas (like golf course cart paths).

I bought a brand new 4wd ford ranger in 1985. It would go anywhere. But when it got old everything on it that could leak did, all at the same time. It looked almost like your bronco as I had a shell that looked just like it. Mine was two toned silver & blue. That thing could climb the side of a house!
