New to AR's I have a question

To QD (quick release) to a mlok you still need a section of mlok picatinny "rail". For example; MLOK

To the rail you can then attach a QD device.

No, what I saw was a piece of rail that connects and disconnects without tools...

I just left the stock and handguards that came on my Sport IIs just the way they were

The only reason I switched handguards was because there is no heat shield on the Sport II unless you put one on. It cost like $30. That's not much considering how much money goes to ammo for any gun if you shoot it. I can hang on without heating up my hand so much now.

I just left the stock and handguards that came on my Sport IIs just the way they were and used the money I would have spent replacing them on brass, bullets, primers and powder.
