New to Forum, new to 9mm Shield

New to this forum and would like to introduce myself. I'm in my 24th year with my local police dept. I currently carry a Glock 22 Gen 4 on duty and up till yesterday carried a Glock 27 Gen 4 off duty. I've been looking for a reliable smaller subcompact(smaller than the baby glock) for some time.
Yesterday I picked up a 9mm Shield. My very first shot, I had a FTF. I have since fired 100 rounds flawlessly. I'm very happy with this pistol. I think I may have limp wristed the first shot.

I order it from Gulf State Distributors and got it in 2 weeks. Gulf States being a Police and Military supply shop, has good discounted prices. I got my new 9mm Shield for $329 plus tax. They also threw in a Fobus Paddle holster for free. Can't beat that price.

Welcome to the forum... I to carry the Gen 4 Glock22 for duty. I had a 27 as a backup but always hated it. When the 9mm Shield came out I quickly picked one up. It's now my backup weapon. I have since got what is called "M&P Disease" and have purchased other models. If you have not fired a full size M&P please do so and you will be hooked. Only wish I could carry my full size on duty. Pretty much hate Glocks now.

Welcome to the forum...good, helpful, and insightful people here. I am no where near the expert most of the folks on here are, but I do dig my 9mm Shield (and my M&P FS 9mm). I think you will enjoy your new backup.
