Here is my new (to me) Model 10-5. I picked it up from a local pawn shop for $300 OTD.

It is in nearly pristine condition - no turn line, no scratches or wear marks.

What a deal! I've ordered a Tyler t-grip for it. I think I'll wait for that before taking it out for a test drive.

Curiously, I weighed it and it appears to weigh about an ounce less than the 3" tapered barrel 10-4 that I got from Bud's.

They are great guns and that's a great price for one in 4 inch barrel in that condition. I picked one up last year for slightly more but it was worth it.

I looked it up and the C89... serial number puts it in the 1966-67 'born on' range.

The serial number on the grips do not appear to match. Curiously, the S/N on the grips don't seem to have enough numbers. So I have no idea what that means - other than they don't match.

I'll be blasting away soon with my 158gr LSWC reloads! So much for the 'no turn line'...that won't last long.

NICE- I have a 10-5 2" Love the K frame! '68

Best .38 Smith ever produced, I carried one for years.

I gotcher T-Grip right here! The grip frame has a little rash on it, and there's a little on left of the top strap, but it doesn't hurt the way it shoots. I carry this concealed on occasion and use it as my carry gun working jobs away from my agency.
