Happened into this M29-2 a few weeks back and figured I would share some pics. 4" barrel with nice original nickel finish. Seems like these are getting more and more expensive and harder to find, so when I saw this one listed at a fair price I pounced. My first p&r N frame. By my SCSW, produced in 1980. Has incorrect speed loader cut target stocks, but I will find some football cuts to get her right. There is a scratch under the grips from an idiot using the wrong screwdriver on it, but otherwise it's pretty clean. Feel free to comment on whatever you may see Good/bad about it. Thanks for looking!

Very nice Sir!!

I love my 4" 29-2 made the same year as your nickel model.

I don't have a nickel Smith just yet... feeling the compelling urge to get one... in m57 flavor.. ;)

Thanks Bob and ride red. I had a 629 6" in the past that didn't stay with me, but this one is a true looker! No plans to let this one go!

It's beautiful. Try to clean up the front of the Cylinder face. It will make that thing look like a Diamond.

My 27-2 had a front Cylinder like that, but I cleaned it up, and it made it look brand new.

She was spotless until I shot it. She will be cleaned again soon. Thanks for the nice words guys.

Very nice, mine is blue
I shoot mostly mostly specials,12 mag loads and my hand is screaming!!

Beautiful. I recently picked up a 629 and a 29-2. Love them was thinking about selling the 629, but the more I shoot it the more I think it has a home.

Keep the 629.

I have 8 Smith and Wessons, and my favorite shooter is my 629-1.

You gotta love those nickel P&R N frames! :D That is a very nice 29-2, bpayne. I have a couple of nickel 27-2s myself, one my original pistol bought in 1974 and the other I just bought off GB last month and is unfired. :D

Nice stocks. I am a huge fan of smooth targets myself.

I believe Gonçalo Alves actually is a type of Rosewood.

Regardless, they look amazing on your 29!

Thanks gentlemen. I believe you are correct Tom that GA is a type of Rosewood, yet they are separate in this crazy wood world of factory stocks right? Appreciate the likes fellas.
