Hey everyone, im new to this forum but definatly not to guns. Anyway i just recently aquired a decent used 4513tsw law enforcement trade in. Appears to be in pretty nice condition aside for some holster wear on the sides. I think i got a good deal on it for $400

Welcome Chip and what you have there is an early model with the 6 round magazine. Those were made for about 1 year and are the most collectible of the 4513's.

Very nice find for $400.

Yes timn8er I think i may be coming down with that 3rd genitis lol...Anyway Yes LostLake it is a early 6rd mag version. I believe it is a 98 model. I will be going to the range a week from today on tuesday to give it a workout. I also have a Sigma 40ve and a Ruger Sr9 i may bring as well. My father has a Smith 3rd gen .40 cal that i have been tring to get for a while also so ill see how that goes.. .... Well Thanks for the replies and i will post a range report when i get it.

That was, IMHO, a smokin' deal on a very nice pistol. I paid a couple hundred more for the same gun some time ago. I love mine and I am sure you will as well. Yes, The more-used twin to mine was around $300 just a couple years ago. They go for a lot more now!

A suggestion would be to order a couple sets of the dual springs from S&W. You don't really know if the others were replaced or not.

You will be impressed when you shoot it. You are now infected...they will multiply.

Welcome to the small club. There is no better .45ACP CCW IMO. I have alot of pistols including the latest and greatest. But this is my go to IWB carry pistol.

I have a never fired 2002 4513TSW with Trijicon sights and a 2006 with 25 round thru it when I bought it. Even though I can only carry 1-2 at a time I have that SW sickness that one must own more than 1 of a smith series .. Includes a Shorty 45 00(under 100 SN) a 686 with CT ., a 642 with CT and a
.40 superb Sigma Sve with CT.(Deadly accurate)..)
14 clip. (I have 4 clips )
Not For Sale Until I don't need them anymore..
