Nice! I recently picked up a mint 60-7 with box not to long ago. It came with factory rubber grips, but I decided to put something a little more appropriate on it.

Diggin' the case hardened hammer and trigger on yours.

I like it as well since it stands out a bit. It's the trigger and hammer it came with from the factory and it's become my newest carry gun.

As far as I know the early M60 had the trigger and hammer stainless. As well as all other parts, including even the grips screw and medallions. Personally I value those the most because -unless I am mistaken- no other later stainless S&W revolver was like this. And this - M60 Stainless Chief Special - was the first ever stainless S&W revolver produced. Did not know any M60 came from factory with case hardened carbon steel hammer and trigger. I suspect some may have transplants from M36. They look great but in my opinion defy the original M60 purpose of an all weather go anywhere gun. Just my 2c.

The M60s came with stainless, flash chrome and case hardened triggers and hammers. I'm not worried one bit since I've carried a wide variety of non-stainless firearms with blued or unfinished parts with no rust issues.

I've owned Model 60's of some vintage since the mid 70's. I just love the dang things.

The 60-7 is one of my favorite 60's. My current one has a flash chromed hammer and trigger. This one was a trade in at a local shop, it had the cardboard box and walnut S&W service grips. I think the Spec Ord code places it around 1993. It was unfired.

I owned another 60-7 that purchased new about 1994 that had a case hardened hammer and trigger with Uncle Mike's Boot grips, it had the plastic box.

Plus P rated, improved yoke retention, 1/8" front sight. Solid revolvers. Very smooth with great fit and finishes.

I also have an early Model 60 no dash with box and all original papers. It was unfired. I don't carry it.
