Picked up a 624 no-dash from an older guy. He is getting "up there" and has started to pass down weapons to his family. Well, his family had no use for an "old revolver". Anyway, I convinced him that it would go to a good home and paid him a fair sum for it. It's a 4" and came with pachmeyer grips. I had a nice set of Sambar stag grips and stuck a Tyler T-grip on it. I've got a polished T-grip on the way and will swap it out shortly.

Well, I love it! Awesome single action and a very smooth double. It goes very well with my other n-frames and now I think I need a 3" 24.......

After our wedding, and at the reception my new wife and I exchanged wedding gifts. She got her(used to be mine)4"624, and I got my(She did alot of searching for it) 3"LH624. You should have seen the looks of everyone there!!!! We still have both today, an her 624 is her nightstand gun. This was in October 1991, 20yrs coming on quick!!!!

I have the 4" and 6.5" 624's, love them both as they each have their use. Hope the day doesn't come when I have to part with them even though I don't shoot them often anymore.

Of course you do. So do I!

Nice pickup, by the way. ;)

NICE .44's guys!

Here's poor quality photo of the 624 no-dash I picked up last Sunday...

Unfortunately someone spent waaaaay to much time polishing it (but for $475 I'm not complaining much); hopefully I can remedy the finish situation soon as time permits.

Edit: Boy that picture is bad; the stocks are actually in great condition and...
Oops, I forgot to resize; still kind'a new to posting photos, but at least it worked this time. ;)

looks like they polished/refigured the trigger as well.

Flapjack:
Thanks for you concern; I received a reply Friday, form Kate Fredette at S&W, stating that my revolver (S/N: AHB82XX) was shipped in 1987 and was not subject to the recall.

410bore:
Someone sure put a shine on the trigger and everything else for that matter, but fortunately the shape was not altered. I may end up having to vapor blast it and the hammer to restore them to the factory "frosted" look if our other bag of tricks doesn't work.

Thanks guys! Also, the previous owner checked the cyl. He included the letter from Smith stating that it was not part of the recall.

Awesome, I found one last year (624 no dash 4") in great shape. Its a good day anytime you find a 44 special.
