New to me 639

Thanks for the nice comments. I wasn't sure about the color of whatever kind of wood the grips are made of...the the way it fits my hand is really awesome.

Well, thanks to the sharp eyes of grif684, I'm pretty sure I purchased a hybrid 639/669 instead of a 639. Have to admit that I'm more than a little embarrassed but it is was it is. Any thoughts on how one would value a piece like this?

If it shoots well and feeds perfectly than its worth what you paid im sure. I wouldn't worry bout it much.

Now that is interesting. But somewhere there's a 669 frame with a 639 slide attached to it! Unless your 639 had its slide shortened.
In any event you have a nice second gen Smith, I just wish it could talk and tell us where its former top half is.
