Picked up this grail gun for me on gunbroker last week. I was laying on a beach in Hawaii "surfing" gunbroker and paid $625 for it. Probably more that it is worth but I don't really care as i am never selling it. It was waiting for me when I got back from vacation (a very nice way to come home from paradise)!

S/N is BDN71XX

I am guessing before 1991 but am hoping for something a little more accurate.

Thank you all!!

According to the standard reference the factory was going in close to alphabetical order with SN prefixes at that time, and BDN would have been from or close to March 1989.

Amazing what technology can do in the gun shopping world. Surfs up! :)

Ya did really well. Yer at least a hundred bucks under what I have seen them go for around here, if ya can find them. Enjoy.

It's nice to have some 65s... and 66s... and 686s.. and 19s.. and good old 64s and M10s!

But I admit, I'm a fool for K frame snubs.

FYK...There is a 3" barreled S&W 65 in the classifieds, with factory combat grips.
