New to me 915

I picked up my new to me 915 on Thursday and put 100 rounds through it yesterday. VCR serial number. It's in great shape and shoots quite well. I'm pretty happy with my entry into the 3rd gen S&Ws.

The 915 is one of the best kept secrets there is. Truly underated, mine has a superb SA trigger the DA trigger is good and acurracy is more than acceptable.

915's are under rated. just a plain jane 5906 really..
made 1993-1994.
mines a TZP so not sure if that's 93 or 94??
oh. part for 5906 fit our 915's. I have traded into a 5906 stainless slide, trigger, hammer and slide stop.
two tone looks pretty good.

Not a plain 5906 as the 915 has an alloy frame. Closer would be a plain 5903 or better yet, a 5904.

That's pretty inexpensive. It looks like the ones at that price have a lot of wear, but I wonder what the insides look like. For that price you could do a project with it and still not have a lot invested. Do a nice two tone cerekote or something similar.

Yes, you are right on the wear. The law enforcement trade ins I have purchased in the past had a lot of wear, but the insides were spotless.

Definitely underrated! I loved mine and shouldn't have sold it...
