This 10 is a "keeper." It is not a gun to sell. It is a "must have" handgun. As another poster opined, it doesn't get any better than this. 10s are rarely found in that condition. At the range, you will find it pretty much shoots itself. Enjoy it and hang onto it.

Thank you everyone. not only does the gun look beautiful, but shoots like a dream. I was getting 1-2" groups at 15 yards. The trigger in this older smith now has me spoiled. Honestly from the looks of the gun when I purchased it, I don't think many rounds went though it. Doesn't even look like it was carried. I'm very happy with my purchase and already on the look out for my next smith!

You did quite well. The Model 10 doesn't show up around here very often and when they do they sell quickly. I carry a model 10-7..replaced the original hammer with a bobbed hammer and put on a set of Hogues. The Colt DS that I've been carrying started to show a little holster wear after 15 years so I retired it as my carry gun. Here's what I carry now. You have a nice one..hold onto it. Rich.
